The waterfall is formed by an underground
river. Unlike other waterfalls it falls from the entrance of the
krast cave, situated on a sheer rock. The water stream spurts from
a deep grotto from the height of four meters. For many years falling
water has worked out a huge hollow. Such karst waterfalls are known
to science but Atysh is the only one, which forms a sheer column
of falling water. |
