The Shikhan Mountains are the only
geological formations on the planet, where vestiges of sea reefs
referred to the Perm Age can be found. Against the back-cloth of
the valley there tower four cone-like mountains of white limestone,
they are: Urak-Tau, Kush-Tau, Shakh-Tau and Tra-Tau. Here you can
find many rare mountain and steppe plants, typical for this geographical
area of the republic. |
