Natural deposits of sands and white
clays with some concretions of ferrous sandstone embedded into them
come out to the day surface on the slopes and at the bottom of the
ravine. In these concretions there are well-preserved prints of
leaves from trees that grew in the Oligocene Period of the Cenozoic
Age. The given finding made it possible for scientists to give more
precise characteristics to the process of development of the earth
crust in the region. |
