The Okhlebeninskaya Cave
The cave is referred to large karst cavities formed in gypsum. This is the only place among Bashkir caves, where the mirror of underground waters has been broken. On the surface of the lake inside the cave there is the thinnest calcite crust that disappears, when touched. Near the cave there is an ancient settlement. During the excavations instruments and items, which can be referred to the Iron Age have been found. All these findings are on display in the Museum of Ethnography and Archaeology in Ufa.
Address: Okhlebenino Settlement, Karlaman Station, Iglinsky Region, Bashkortostan.
