Local people call this lake Tozlo-Kul
(The Salt Lake) because of its water been a bit bitter and salty.
High concentration of salts and the smell of hydrogen sulfur make
the lake lifeless. According to the local people the water in the
lake is very good to cure skin diseases. Another typical feature
of the lake is medicinal mud around According to its composition
the mud is similar to that of the Lake Tambukanskoye near Pyatigorsk. |
