The Lake Kandry-Kul
The lake Kandry-Kul is one of the deepest and the second largest lake in Bashkortostan. It is a complex natural monument, which is quite interesting for botanists, geologists, zoologists and geographers. The lake is of karst origin and is surrounded by mountains. Its banks are rich with all kinds of vegetation. There grow a lot of various medicinal herbs. The lake itself is rich with fish. The territory of the lake and its surroundings form the natural park Kandry-Kul. The given natural park is the first one of its kind, organized in such a densely populated region.
