The given preserve is the oldest one
in the republic. It was organized on the territory if several regions.
Most of its area is covered with forests with pine ones being predominant;
the rest of it is covered with mountain steppes. Local flora and
fauna are quite typical for the mid Southern Urals. The preserve's
main activity is preservation and study of this typical natural
complex. In the preserve there works the Museum of Nature, where
you can attend lectures on importance and typical features of the
given natural zone as well as excursions along an ecological path.
The Bashkir State Preserve cooperates with many foreign and Russian
organizations engaged into the preservation of nature. |
