Mari people usually gather together
to carry out a sacrifice and pray at some definite religious festivals,
such as Kuyukse Festival, Shoshoala-pairem Festival, Easter Eve
and Ivan Kupala Festival. All people wear traditional national costumes,
combining various colors and all kinds of cut. According to the
data taken in the year 1972, there were eight sacred groves in the
republic. |
