Sergey and Natalya Zyryanovy created this unique ethnographic area only 30 years ago. Today its collection numbers 1000 articles; in its funds there are the most ancient articles of traditional costumes, ornaments belonging to peoples, who occupied the Ural and the Volga region, objects used in everyday life as well as household implements. Rich folklore material including various legends and bylinas has also been collected here. Every exhibit has a prehistory of its own. Zyryanovs' Ethnography Museum is well-known in the USA, Canada, India, Japan, Turkey, Czech Republic and Hungary.
