Archaeology and Ethnography Museum

The museum's collection contains about 900 archaeological, more than 70 ethnographical and 12 anthropological collections. All these exhibits are priceless monuments representing historical and cultural heritage and are of great scientific interest. In the aggregate they set a unique collection of rarities, which witnessed centuries-old contacts and interrelations of various cultural flows and civilizations on the intersection of Europe and Asia. The most interesting display attracting visitors' attention is that of tsar's burial-mounds belonging to Sarmatian Epoch. It includes gold and silver articles and ornaments, which represent "animal" style.
